Weekly Check-in

Weekly Check-in ~ Monday 17 July 2017

I love it when life teaches me lessons, but even more so when they are repeated so that I really get it. These words I heard at church on Sunday were a really nice way to summarise the valuable lessons about service I was taught last week. Our lives, given us by God our Father, are to be used in the service of others.

Before I elaborate on that, just a quick recap of the week that was. I got a blog post written and published 3 Easy Oils for Beginners in which I share three of my favourite oils and super exciting I did my first Facebook live video, which was pretty daunting but fun. Go see for yourself here.

As per usual, I got an awesome webinar in, ‘The Magic Words of Selling’ it’s becoming a really enjoyable weekly tradition these webinars.

To say this one was inspiring, would be a bit of an understandment. It brought me back to what I said in last week’s check in, big trees grow from small seeds, yet this week I’ll add big trees grow from small seeds through consistent and regular nourishment. Constantly educating yourself provides you with the nourishment you need to achieve more.

I also got to do one of my favourite things, create an infographic. I absolutely love infographics and thought that using one to explain how to buy doTERRA’s oils would be a neat idea.

When I first joined doTERRA I found it a bit confusing working out what to do, so the inner teacher in me yearned to make it easier for others to take advantage of these amazing oils and the infographic was born. Check out the finished product here. Did I mention I love infographics.

The Managing Stress eBook is coming along really nicely and I’m starting the process of getting a logo designed which is so exciting. It’s been a really fabulous week.

Lessons learnt this week…

Angels are the people around us showing love and support.

My three angels this week were my friends Tianne and Lara and a lovely support guy from my blog’s contact form plugin.

I’ll start with my friend Tianne. She shows us how service, love and support is actually really simple and easy. All she did was send me a message on Facebook sharing some of her experiences and giving me some words of encouragement.

I don’t even think she would have thought, hmm Allison needs a boost right now, she was just expressing gratitude and sharing what was going on in her life, but the message came just when I really needed a bit of assurance that I was on the right track.

Express gratitude and share your experiences with those around you.

My lovely friend Lara was generous enough to think of me and tag me into the details about the webinar. Not only was it really lovely to be thought of and in such an individual way, but the webinar has been of enormous benefit to me.

The support was invaluable, mostly because I feel like I have someone who is also invested in my success.

Take the time to get know people and when you see something that will benefit them, share it.

Lastly was Dylan from Contact Forms, the plugin I use that allows people to get in touch with me. Having just launched my Essential Oils Master Class offer, I was devastated to find out that the form wasn’t working.

Not only did I get a really quick response from him, but he really went out of his way to help me resolve the issue. At a time when I felt overwhelmed and a bit dejected, his help was much appreciated.

Now you could look at it and go well it’s his job, but having worked in the service industry for many years and also from being a consumer, I know there is doing your job and doing your job well.

Whatever your job, show others that you care about them, they might just really need it.

My challenge for you all this week it to be an angel in someone’s life. Above are three really easy and simple ways to do so and from first hand experience, they can make a huge impact.

Instead of waiting to see when a new post is available, save yourself some time by subscribing to my blog, you will feel empowered that you are taking steps to make positive changes in your life.

Until next week.

~ Allison, called Binney
