English Festival cultural experience-South Africa

We had an English festival this month, so yesterday I did a cultural lesson for them on South Africa.

We listened to Sho sho loza, I showed them a power point presentation about our flag and the meaning of the colours: Red-bloodshed, Blue-sky, Green-land, Gold-natural resources, Black/White-People.

Then they coloured a flag in.

After that we had some rooi bos tea and crackers. Was fun, I think the funniest bit was when the kids said the tea smelt bad, hmm and kimchi is so fragrant!?! Kids.
